TIME FOR ADULT RECOGNITION

This also applies to our Day/Twilight Camp teams, amazing GSNETX staff, council level teams, troop leaders, cookie managers & volunteers!

It is time to take a moment and recognize each and every one of you for your time and commitment to your troop, service unit and Girl Scouts. From troop leaders to cookie managers to service unit team members you all deserve to be recognized. While the deadline is February 28th with cookie season the time will go fast.

GSNETX has a formal recognition program that is easy to use to nominate those who work with you and even yourself. I know that you volunteer time and energy because you believe in the program and not for recognition. It is a good thing to be recognized and to show appreciation for others.

http://www.gsnetx.org/nominate is the link to use to nominate volunteers in your troop and service unit. There is a link on the form to show all the awards and more information. Girls can nominate troop leaders and troop cookie managers. The words of girls and daughters is amazing acknowledgement of the impact you make on their lives. You don’t need to know what the award is the person is eligible for you just choose the category you are nominating them for.

There are some training requirements for each level as well as enrichment training, if you have questions please ask me. The one mandatory training that often gets forgotten is TR402 Protecting our Girls. It has to be renewed every 2 years. If you haven’t renewed or taken TR402 please do so. You will find the training on your MyGS that can be accessed through www.gsnetx.org.
