Sudden Impact 2k16

It was a long day at the fields yesterday, but the girls finished 3-1 in their round robin which was good enough to earn second place! The bats were strong all day and the pitching stepped up big too. Special shout out to Maddie Perry for throwing a no-hitter in our second game of the day - way to go, “Master P!”

These past couple of tournaments it’s been rewarding to see some things start to come together and improvements being made. Never satisfied and always working. We can’t wait for the next one!

ROSTER ALERT!! Please join us in welcoming the newest member of our team, Maddie Flores!! Her big bat and strong arm are certainly game changers, but she also brings an outstanding attitude and team-first mentality that we love!

Fun fact: Maddie has been a full time member of the team for our past three tournaments. We’ve just been so busy counting her bombs we forgot to do this post. Welcome to the squad, Maddie!!

There were 20 teams from Texas and Oklahoma at the NCS 9U Texas Blowout this past weekend, and your girls took home 3rd place! They traveled north to DFW to play 10 games over 32 hours, including 4 straight on Sunday, going 7-3 on the weekend. Those 3 losses were to the undefeated tournament champs and the team who finished 2nd to them.

Sunday was the best complimentary softball we’ve seen all year from the girls putting together strong pitching, good defense, and timely hitting to go on the run they did. We can’t wait to see what this group can do over the second half of their spring schedule!

The SI show heads north this weekend for the NCS 9U Texas Blowout. The girls are fired up to show what they can do in DFW!

This weekend is going to be a fun one and the girls are excited for the challenge!

✨Stars of Texas Tournament✨

After going 2-0 in pool play, your blue and gold suffered a tough loss in ITB in their first bracket game Saturday night. That put them on a long road for Sunday, but they fought their way into the final 4 before running out of gas and falling a little short. The big highlight from bracket play was a 2-out 3-run last inning rally to win in walkoff fashion in one of their games Sunday, one that was filled with countless clutch ABs to finish the job!

Pitching took a huge step forward this weekend with Taylor Tempo throwing a 5-inning 9 K no-hitter on Saturday! There’s plenty to be excited about with this group, but many improvements remain to be made so lots of work left to do. Great weekend, girls!

Sudden Impact is ready for tournament two

The girls battled the cold weather and some strong competition on Saturday to earn themselves the 1-seed going into bracket play! However, our good run ended in the semi-final against the eventual tournament champions. Whether it was the pitching staff filling up the strike zone or the whole lineup grinding out quality at bats, there’s a lot to be excited about with our group. Saying that, there’s still tons of meat on the bone for areas the girls can improve. More hard work ahead, this is just the start!

Get your hand warmers ready, it’s softball time! First tournament of the season is this weekend and we’re looking forward to playing up with the older girls!
