I thought about not saying anything because it’s so terribly painful and the grief I feel is unbearable. But I knew I wanted to, because sharing my boys 🐾 life with you on this platform has brought me so much joy ❤️

We had to say goodbye to our Dougie yesterday. He wasn’t well and there wasn’t anything I could do or the vet could do to make it better.
Daily I get messages from some of you asking how the Dobermans are doing. I truly appreciate the way you dote over them as much as I do. They’re special and I know you think so too.
When we first took in the Dobermans and gave them a home, it was challenging. They weren’t domesticated to a home life but over time we got there and it was such a blessing. These Dobermans have brought me more joy than I could have ever imagined. And I love them hard.
Dougie was special, he was the one that would always approach a new person first, he would always be ready to play and he loved treats, his tennis balls and loved food so much that we had to watch his chunkyness. He was kind, he was loyal, funny and so sweet. He was definitely a Daddy’s boy! Everything that he was, is more than I could have ever asked for.
When I stand up they both rush to my side. I’m still reaching down with both hands. 💔
Dougie, you’re the best boy! Until we see each other again, have all the treats you want buddy!💙🐾
