After five years in the U.S. Navy, Tara Snelson was looking for a career that aligned with her skills, values, and love for electricity. She found it at Associated Electric Cooperative. Today, she’s a System Operations Supervisor - serving the same rural communities she grew up in.
With strong veteran support and room to grow, Tara’s journey shows how military experience can spark powerful careers in energy.
Her advice to fellow service members? “Lean on fellow veterans - we’ve walked this path and are here to help.”
This Memorial Day, we honor and remember those who gave everything, and we’re proud to support veterans continuing their service in new ways every day.
