What if I ran for Mayor of Gresham? Filing opened today for November...

I could still get into office this election cycle.

I could get into office where we are pushing for santuary status against ICE where the council and mayor has been lukewarm at best.

I could get into office in an area where my housing and substance reform could make significant change.

I have lived in the area for awhile now, leaving only for work.

I am a PLRC for District 50 with the multnomah Democrats, and have been a delegate for the platform convention for the DPO since last summer for multnomah county...

I am familiar with the issues here...

Thoughts?

Edit- since multiple people asked in the comments, I cannot run for Mayor of Springfield. I moved to Gresham last August, with a temporary relocation to Springfield for work, and have been back in Gresham for months. You have to be a permanent resident in a city for a specific period of time to be able to run for Mayor (temporary moves for work does not break the requirement), I qualify for Gresham, not Mayor of Springfield.
