After more than 25 years with Interstate, we are celebrating the retirement of Kathy Carr, someone who truly helped shape the experience of both our customers and our team.
Throughout the majority of her career with us, Kathy served in customer-facing roles, building strong relationships with clients and individual customers alike. She literally supported tens of thousands of customers with their relocations, helping set the standard for service and accountability across the organization.
No matter the challenge, she consistently delivered at the highest level and could always be counted on to lead with professionalism, care, and integrity. Her impact on Interstate will be felt for years to come, and we are incredibly grateful for her dedication and contributions over the past two and a half decades.

1) Label Everything With Specific Details
Skipping labels or keeping them too vague makes unpacking unnecessarily difficult. Clear labeling helps make sure boxes are handled with care and stacked safely for transit. Unpacking will go much smoother when each box has a designated room!
2) Fill The Empty Space in The Box
Even if everything is wrapped, items will move around if there is any unused space. That’s when damage happens. If you don’t have bubble wrap, use t-shirts or sweatshirts to fill the gaps.
3) Moving is The Perfect Time to Declutter
Go through your home room by room and decide what items you can donate, sell, or throw away to reduce the amount you need to take with you.
