Back in my days, the public school system was a joke, if you weren't in high honors, you would get no help, you was left behind and get mixed up in the wrong crowd and then forget about college, your stuck in the hood, you are a nobody! Until Mama T finds out and your ass better watch out. She was no joke. She helped so many kids like myself get through the system. Taught us that life ain't all peaches and cream and we still have to move forward. She gave us a safe heaven after school with many activities like tutoring, basketball and soccer games. One of the most influential woman in my life!
May I continue to honor your life's work through my life and continue to make you proud!
