Medicare Advantage vs. Medicare Supplement ā Which is right for you?
One of the most common questions I get is: Thereās no one-size-fits-all answerā the right choice depends on your unique needs today and down the road. Let me break it down to help you decide š
š¹ Medicare Supplement (Medigap): This works with Original Medicare (Parts A & B to cover out-of-pocket costs like deductibles, copays, and coinsurance. It gives you flexibility to see any doctor or hospital that accepts Medicare nationwideāno networks! But it doesnāt include prescription drugs, so youād need a separate Part D plan. Great if you value predictability and broad provider choice.
š¹ Medicare Advantage (Part C) with Prescription Coverage: This is an alternative to Original Medicare, bundled into one plan from a private insurer. It often includes Parts A, B, and D (prescriptions) for a single premiumāplus extras like dental, vision, or gym memberships. Many have $0 premiums, but youāll stick to the planās network of providers, and out-of-pocket costs can vary more based on what you use.
The best advance I can give when choosing is consider your health, budget, preferred doctors, and travel habits. Iām here to guide you every step. Give me a call at 615-384-0333 or DM me to schedule a quick, free review.

Many of you have asked how I landed here so here's the short version.
Insurance, especially for seniors, is confusing! My dad needed help, and he just assumed that he wouldn't be able to afford anything and chose not to get an additional help. I had no clue about health coverage for seniors, but I knew I wanted to help him so that he could get the health services he needed. Turns out, there are some not so nice people out there who just want to take advantage!
So, as any daughter would do, I decided to do my research and the more I looked I couldn't find anyone local that had an office that a person could walk into and get the answers they were looking for. Therefore, it led me to where I am now. I'm so thankful for Venczel Insurance Services and Jason who saw a need and wanted to help our community.
My people are my why! I want to be someone you can trust when it comes to your health insurance needs.
Here are some tips to pass on so you and your people can avoid those not so nice scammers:
Verify before you share: Never share your Medicare info with anyone who contacts you unsolicited.
Stick with the pros: Work with trusted insurance advisors, like me, to make AEP decisions.
Guard your Medicare card: Treat it like gold. Only provide it to trusted healthcare providers.
Stay informed: Keep up with the latest Medicare news and scams. Knowledge is your best defense.
I am just a message away if you have any questions or need assistance. Let's make this AEP safe and secure!

Happy October 1st! š AEP is right around the corner šāāļø
ā¼ļø Important Medicare Update for 2026 ā¼ļø
Some Medicare Advantage carriers will no longer be offering plans in our area starting January 1, 2026. That means if youāre currently enrolled in one of these plans, youāll need to select new coverage during the Annual Enrollment Period (October 15 ā December 7, 2025) to ensure you donāt lose your Medicare benefits.
Even if your plan isnāt going away, AEP is the one time of year when you should review your coverage to make sure it still works for you.
Each year, plans can change their:
ā¾ļø Premiums, copays, and deductibles
ā¾ļø Provider networks (are your doctors still in-network?)
ā¾ļø Prescription drug coverage (are your medications still affordable?)
ā¾ļø Added benefits like dental, vision, hearing, fitness, or OTC allowances
These updates can feel overwhelmingābut you donāt have to figure it out alone. My job is to simplify the process and guide you through your options. Iāll review the plans available in our area, explain the differences, and help you find the coverage thatās the best fit for your health needs and budget.
My services are always free of charge.
Iām local, independent, and here to work for youānot the insurance companies.

What does Medicare cover?
Original Medicare includes Part A (hospital insurance) and Part B (medical insurance). The plan does not include things such as prescription medication. For prescription coverage, you have to purchase a separate Medicare Part D plan.
Additionally, Medicare does not cover routine dental care, such as annual exams, fillings, cleanings, or tooth extractions. It also does not cover routine eye exams, the cost of eyeglasses, or contact lenses.
However, this does not mean that you cannot get the coverage you need! You can buy stand-alone dental or vision plans at any time, even if you are enrolled in Original Medicare.
Give me a call, and letās talk about your options!
