✰ Today we celebrate International Nurses Day! 🩺 👩‍⚕️✰

★ Tori Thompson is a sophomore nursing major whose kindness brings smiles to her patients’ faces.

We asked Tori why she decided to pursue nursing as a career path:

“My path toward nursing began when I served as a primary caregiver for my grandfather during his year in hospice. This experience, combined with the mentorship of his nurse, Tammy, gave me a look of deep respect for the profession. Tammy’s example of excellence and empathy showed me exactly what a ‘true nurse’ looks like. I’m forever greatful for what may come in my career path.”

✰ Join Alpha Xi Delta and the Hagen Center for a day of celebrating service! We will be painting rocks with affirmations, words of encouragement, inspirational and kind words, and they will be spread across communities with kids and teens experiencing homelessness and foster care. ✰
