At Victory, we run small businesses to cover our overhead costs, so that 100% of your donation can go to programs that help men and women rebuild their lives!
These small businesses also help our men and women build job skills as they prepare to enter back into the workforce.
One of those businesses is Springfield Mattress Recycling, where we keep mattresses out of the landfill, helping the environment! We take them apart and use their wood for garden mulch, the padding for clothing, and their springs for car parts or jewelry!

That's 12,000 mattresses that didn't go to the landfill! And now they get used for car parts, furniture, jewelry, and all kinds of fun stuff! 🛏️😄

Need to get rid of that old mattress? The City of Springfield has expanded mattress recycling collection services to its Franklin Avenue Recycling Center location at 731 N. Franklin Avenue.
Mattress recycling is offered for a $15 fee per piece, regardless of size. Items must be clean, dry and not infested.

1. Recycle your mattress at any of the designated drop-off locations for just $20 per mattress. Items must be clean, dry, and free from infestation.
2. The City of Springfield will contract Victory Mission to recycle your mattress.
3. People leaving poverty will gain essential skills as they’re equipped to enter the workplace.
4. Mattress components are broken down, marketed locally, and diverted from the landfill.
