Did you know that wood gets darker with time? Even after you stain it. The picture below, although it’s two different pieces of wood, shows the change. There’s plenty of YouTube videos online and pictures and examples. Just something to think about when staining your cabinets or wood furniture!

Had to bring the mean side out. My guys threw their cig buts in the grass in the front yard of my customer. BAD. I told them I would withhold their money until ALL cig buts and trash was picked up. They had all the cigs and trash picked up in 15 minutes.

This is what happens when you put Ram Board Tape on engineered flooring. NEVER use Ram Board Tape on any kind of flooring. Lucky for us the customer had some extra pieces in his attic. You can’t touch it up with stain, only looks worse. So we’ll be replacing 5 pieces.

Extra material! Each of these boxes is about $12. It adds up fast! If there isn’t another job to take this extra material to then it goes back to the store and credited back to our account.

Follow up.

My subcontract gave me an invoice and said “I’m done!” To which I replied, “Okay that’s great! Let me go out there and q-a the job and if all of it looks great and the homeowner agrees, I’ll cut you a check!”

Well, as you can see, they are 99.5% done. Which means I give them $0 until they are 100% done.

“Hey guys! Don’t forget to put that piece back up!”
