Liberated Creatives

Last week Liberated Creatives traveled to Kansas City for Gordon Parks Elementary School’s “Inspire” exhibition. It was such an incredible experience to discover how these students used their art to help express both uplifting and challenging emotions. In addition to the Inspire exhibition, I had the opportunity to catch up with old friends, connect with future collaborators, purchase a former classmate’s book, enjoy music at my new favorite vinyl bar, and find time to relax among the new business adventures! 🌱Misty Lane from Mercurial Girl Studios is an artist and certified astrologer who uses artwork to explore themes around personal relationships with the cosmos. "In my perspective, your birth chart is the celestial screenplay to the movie of your life. I host these creative astrology workshops to bring the technical yet abstract concept of astrology into tangible form for anyone to work with."

🌱Keisha McMillen from Liberated Creatives is a multidisciplinary artist who uses her work for healing and transformation. "Creating your own oracle card can inspire you to craft something that aligns with your goals, reduce perfectionism by allowing for multiple possible outcomes, and deepen your understanding of yourself."

A special THANK YOU! For the opportunities to share my story and how I’ve created a career in the arts. The arts have always been a tool for healing and self-expression for me. Sharing the truth on what I’ve endured; the bad, good, and ugly is new for me. It took courage to be bold and vulnerable, but it was necessary to recognize my strength and realize that I’m actually pursuing my dreams despite the obstacles and challenges.

As a multidisciplinary artist, it was such a joy to encourage the younger generation to pursue their dreams and show them that it’s possible.
