Someone suggested making a Treasure Box, and so I have made my first one. Maybe my next one should be bigger? It will look more glamourous after it’s been bisqued and glazed. (And BYW, it never hurts to have a really great studio assistant!)

Copper pipe fittings are installed with epoxy putty so that a precarious looking connection can be made securely. I guess I never outgrew playing with LEGOs.

I’m getting ready to connect a stacked form using copper pipe fittings and epoxy putty, because I love precarious looking connections that are actually quite sturdy.

Just a glimpse at my studio of late. I’m getting ready for a featured show with Linda Post-Lucas at the Strawn Gallery in Jacksonville in March. Stay tuned for more details. My work will feature two “narratives” of a sort. There are dystopian abstracts, or the world I see after human civilization has passed out of being, and there are helpful beings —mostly goddesses—to inspire us to endure and not to give up.
