CASA of Robertson County

June is National Reunification Month, a reminder that positive outcomes for children often involve strengthening families and helping them overcome challenges together.

Every child deserves stability, support, and a safe place to call home. CASA volunteers play an important role by advocating for children's best interests throughout the court process, helping ensure their needs are recognized and their voices are heard.

This month, we recognize the families working toward reunification, the professionals supporting them, and the volunteers who stand beside children every step of the way.

National Children's Day is an opportunity to recognize the importance of supporting children's well-being, safety, and future success.

At CASA, everything we do centers around helping children who have experienced abuse or neglect. Our volunteers advocate for their best interests, help them understand court proceedings, monitor their progress, and work to ensure they receive the services and support they need.

Every child deserves to be seen, heard, and valued. On National Children's Day, we celebrate the resilience of children and the volunteers who help them navigate some of life's most challenging circumstances.

CASA volunteers are often described as "the glue" in a complicated child welfare system.

They work alongside families, schools, caseworkers, attorneys, service providers, and the court to help ensure a child's needs don't get overlooked.

They gather information, monitor progress, advocate for services, keep the court informed, and most importantly, provide a consistent presence for children navigating difficult circumstances.

Did you know the first step to becoming a CASA advocate is filling out a simple online application?

CASA volunteers come from all walks of life and professional backgrounds. Whether you're a teacher, retiree, business owner, healthcare worker, or simply someone who wants to make a difference, we provide all the training and support you need to be successful.

Before being sworn in as a CASA advocate, you'll complete 30 hours of training covering courtroom procedures, social services, the juvenile justice system, and the needs of children who have experienced abuse or neglect.

What we need most isn't a specific degree or career background. We need compassionate people who are willing to stand up for a child's best interests.

June is National Reunification Month, a time to celebrate families who have overcome challenges and safely reunited with their children. ❤️

At CASA, we know that every child deserves a safe, permanent home and a strong support system along the way. Our volunteers advocate for the best interests of children in foster care, helping them access needed services, experience greater stability, spend less time in foster care, and work toward positive permanency outcomes.

When safe and appropriate, that includes supporting reunification efforts and ensuring children's voices are heard throughout the process.

This month, we celebrate the strength of families and the dedicated CASA volunteers who help children navigate some of life's most difficult transitions.

Some heroes show up in courtrooms, foster homes, and school meetings.

They do not wear capes. They wear consistency, patience, and commitment.

They are CASA volunteers.

National Donut Day is sweet, but making a difference in a child’s life is even sweeter! 🍩

When you become an advocate, you're doing more than volunteering. You're playing an active role in bettering the future for a child.

Being a CASA advocate is about so much more than what people see on the surface.
It is not just paperwork.
It is not just court appearances.

It is showing up. Asking questions others might miss. Paying attention to the details that shape a child’s safety and stability. CASA advocacy is consistent presence in an inconsistent system.

Much of a CASA advocate’s work happens quietly behind the scenes.

Listening carefully. Taking notes. Following up on important details. Making sure a child’s needs and experiences are never overlooked.

While the work may go unseen by many, every conversation, observation, and detail can play a part in helping shape a safer, more stable future for a child. https://www.casaofrobco.com/what-we-do-1
