Equine Facilitated Wellness is an experiential approach to counseling, coaching and psychotherapy, working with horses as co-therapists.
A couple of years ago, Ellie had no problem getting in and out of a trailer. But something changed since the last time, and subsequently in me as well.
All of a sudden it was impossible to load her to take her to the vet last month. I became worried for her and fearful that she would hurt herself or me in the process.
With the help of a very dear friend and horse trainer we were able to work through what was getting in the way for both Ellie and myself.
Owning horses is a journey, not a destination. There’s nothing easy or simple about it and I wouldn’t change it for anything in the world! 💕
