People often say that while they have a desire to draw closer to God through reading the Bible, they don’t!
We want oil but we don’t wanna be crushed! 🤦🏽♀️
Commentary: We desire results (growth, anointing, success), but we want to avoid the difficult process required to produce them. Just as oil comes from olives ONLY after they are crushed, spiritual depth, character, success and anointing often come through trials, suffering, waiting and obedience under pressure
James 1:2–4 – Trials produce perseverance and maturity
2 Corinthians 4:17 – Present affliction produces eternal glory
Isaiah 61:3 – Beauty for ashes, oil of joy for mourning
If the heat feels strong in this season, don’t fear it—
you’re not being destroyed, you’re being refined.
You’re becoming gold in the hands of God.

That Truth is Christ. He is not simply a messenger or teacher of truth, but Truth itself—the perfect revelation of God’s nature and character, and the firm foundation upon which all truth stands.
