Thank you to everyone who attended the Leadership Roundtable, “Remembering, Learning, Preparing” at the Delmar Divine.

The Legacy Luncheon Roundtable served as a meaningful working session focused on what the next ten years can look like when the sanctuary is embraced as both a spiritual hub and a physical anchor for neighborhood stabilization and community recovery.

Panel participants included Julian Nicks, the City’s Chief Recovery & Neighborhood Transformation Officer; Bishop Michael F. Jones, Sr. of Friendly Temple MBC; Stephen Westbrooks, President & CEO of SLDC; and Pastor Andre Alexander of Tabernacle CDC.

Special thank you to Spirit of St. Louis Taskforce Chair, Rev. Dr. Linden Bowie, member Adolphus Pruitt, President, St. Louis City NAACP and Daniel Sjogren, Mid-America Transplant, for the opportunity to participate in this Week of Remembrance honoring survivors and first responders.

Together, we continue the important work of remembrance, recovery and rebuilding stronger communities.

Exciting progress is happening at Hughes House III! We’re now 22.88% complete—closing in on our 25% milestone after a month of impressive teamwork and determination.

Across the site, multiple trades are working together to keep momentum strong. At Pad G, site prep and structural work are underway, with surveying, layout, and underground plumbing about to begin. Grade beams, storm tie-ins, and water lines are moving forward, while vertical construction is accelerating with framing, window installation, weatherproofing, roofing, and punch work across several buildings.

Public improvements along Rosedale and Edison are advancing, with careful attention to quality and warranty standards. Looking ahead, Rosedale/Whitsey access is expected on May 7, pending final striping cure. By the end of next week, buildings should reach dry-in—weather permitting. Security infrastructure is also progressing, with camera wiring and ceiling close-up scheduled in the next 30 days.

Our teams are showing incredible coordination and commitment, driving meaningful progress every day. Stay tuned for more updates as we continue building a vibrant community together!
