What we stand for
Communities First-STL is a 501c3 organization that believes in the power of community to make a difference in the lives of children, youth, and families. The organization was started in 2012 by three women who have dedicated their lives to creating opportunities for those disenfranchised by our existing systems. Their collective belief is that the core strength of a community is most accurately measured by the compassionate actions of its members. For the past eight years, Communities First-STL has provided tutoring, summer programming, mentoring, leadership training, and workforce development activities along with community events.
