During the response to the abandoned bowling factory fire in Jennings, the Metro North Fire District received an additional call for a house fire located on the 1200 block of Thatcher Drive at 4:36 am. Metro North firefighters did not respond to this particular incident; however, it serves as a prime example of the successful implementation of mutual aid. Firefighters from Berkeley MO Fire Department, Black Jack Fire Protection District, Hazelwood Fire Department, and Pattonville Fire Protection District provided support, ensuring the safety of our residents by effectively extinguishing the fire. We would like to express our appreciation to all firefighters involved for their diligent efforts in maintaining the safety of North County throughout the early morning hours.
