How to optimize Facebook ads to increase sales:⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

When I'm checking in on a client's newly launched ads, I ask myself:⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
"Which audiences are performing best?"⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
"Which ads are performing best?"⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
How I determine that indicator of "best performing?" Well...it depends. The campaign objective has big implications on whether I'm looking at the click-through-rate or the frequency metric first, for example.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Once I identify the key metrics that indicate performance of the audience/ads, I compare those metrics to the other active audiences/ads.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
If I see an opportunity to improve the performance of an ad, I change ONE variable at a time, and test that change against the original. The key ad variables include the headline, creative and copy.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
It's important to change only one variable at a time, so you can know for sure whether that change made a difference in the ad's performance or not! Then, you keep note of that data so you can use it to your advantage moving forward!⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Other variables to check in on include the performance of ads on each platform (FB/IG) and placement (feed/stories) to get the most insight!⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

⁣My 3-part paid ad strategy (save this post! 📩)⠀

(This is the strategy I will use when we work together- surprise sneak peek!)

⚠ warning: it's super simple AND super impactful. 😏

A quick overview:⠀

1. Say hey, hi, hello to your cold audience. Introduce you/your brand and generously give them something valuable you’ve created.⠀
2. Show up in front of that ^ audience again. ⠀
3. Show up in front of that ^ audience again. ⠀

Yep, that's it.⠀

The specifics:⠀

1⃣ Set up the first campaign with the goal to generate awareness with your cold audience with ads that connect them to you as a human, (growing their interest in knowing you further). Earn their trust by providing something of high value that's either free or of low low-ticket value (lead magnet) that you know they want (free quide, masterclass, webinar, challenge, low-ticket digital product).⠀

2⃣ Retarget (i.e. remind) audience above that engaged with your ads and/or opted in to your lead magnet with a second campaign and share what sets you apart from others in your industry. Overcome their objections. Share your offer. The goal: Increase your audience's consideration of working with/buying from you.⠀

3⃣ Retarget the warmest audience from second campaign (this might look like those who landed on the sales page but didn't convert) with a third campaign sharing results and testimonies from your previous/current clients. Overcome more objections. Invite them to work with you, giving a sense of urgency.⠀

(Sprinkling as many bits of value along the way + a killer email sequence once they opt in to your lead magnet. 📬)⠀

A one and done campaign to a cold audience won't put your ad spend to work. Retargeting is what will yield the highest ROI.💰 (swipe for more! 👉🏼)

⁣You're selling your high ticket 1:1 service and/or filling your group program. 🙌🏼⠀

But, you’re spending a TON of time and energy on those "income-generating activities" every day.⠀

⁣You know how "it takes a village" to raise a child? Think of paid ads as one person from your marketing village. ⠀

All your marketing efforts are working TOGETHER to reach your common goal(s). 🤝⠀

Paid ads are unique in that you get to be suuuper specific on WHO you're marketing to, allowing you to attract women who are a perfect-fit for your offer, and do so CONSISTENTLY - without having to spend MORE time engaging on social media and creating content). 🙌⠀

But paid ads are not a replacement for your organic marketing or relationship-building, but instead a support in helping you scale what you've already built that delivers amazing results.⠀

With Apple's iOS 14 update causing some changes in the FB ads world, it's more important than ever that you leverage ads as a piece of your larger marketing puzzle to get optimal results! 🥂⠀

⁣You drove traffic (free or paid) to your landing page like CRAZY.⠀

But, then...crickets? Why? ⠀

Driving traffic to your landing page inviting your audience to download your free resource, sign up for your webinar, etc. is half the battle. Whether or not your get conversions depends a lot on your landing page.⠀

👉🏽 Here are 3 tips to keep note of when you’re optimizing your landing page for a high conversion rate.⠀

1. KEEP IT COHESIVE⠀

Lack of cohesion could be your key culprit to a low conversion rate. This plays out both via messaging and visuals. First, messaging:⠀

✈ What if you literally invited your audience to go on a physical trip somewhere with you? You told them all about, explained what the place would be like, what the experience would be like, etc. Then, you went on said trip and your audience was confused and disappointed.⠀

"This trip is nothing like how she described it!" You would very well lose their trust. ⠀

In your messaging, promote the offer in your post or ad in the same way (similar info highlighted, tone of voice) that it's promoted on the landing page. Will your audience know they arrived in the right place? 🤔⠀

🖼 Visually, if what your audience sees in your invitation (on your IG post, your FB ad, etc.) isn't cohesive with what they see on the landing page, they'll consciously or subconsciously feel like they're in the wrong place and maybe become skeptical *clicks out.*⠀

Think of your audiences journey from start to finish, and make them feel safe along the journey. Same colors, fonts, messaging. That familiarity breeds a sense of safety 🙏🏼, and you'll earn your audience's trust! Trust leads to conversions. ⠀

My teacher was handing out end-of-the-year awards. Kind of like superlatives, but everyone received one.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

To my surprise, I was the first name called. To my FURTHER surprise, I received the award of...wait for it... the "Quiet but Strong Leader."⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Certificate in hand, I moped back to my spot in the back of the room and sat criss cross applesauce style, offended and confused.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

I was thinking... "Why the QUIET?! I mean, I know I'm quiet-er but was that necessary?! Couldn't I have just been a leader? But honestly, that doesn't even make sense. I'm not a leader! I'm quiet, remember?! You made sure to point that out." 😒⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

It's interesting for me to reflect on years later. To this day, I don't know if my teacher had real intention behind the award or honestly didn't know what to give me haha (I'm good either way, I mean what pressure that is to find an award that's meaningful for every single one of your students anyway ).⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

But today I'm going to choose that the award holds great meaning.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
