Help Bring Gomez Home

A year ago today my mom and I drove from KC to NY. Gomez came with us and had the time of his life! I carried him around the whole city in a Moby wrap and it was his favorite! He became hooked on pupaccinos, long car rides, and he very much enjoyed his first subway ride and trip to Shake Shack. We’re still searching buddy! We have so many more adventures to take you on!

An open letter to Gomez

Gomez,

I miss you so much it hurts. Nothing is the same without you. Laying in bed without you on my hip, waking up your dad in the morning without you jumping on him to kiss his face and try to steal his earplugs, watching movies, seeing friends, walking around without my shadow, and especially coming home from work. Every part of my life includes you and suddenly you aren’t there. It’s been 6 weeks since I dropped you off, 6 weeks since I’ve seen your face, 6 weeks since the image of you not wanting me to leave was burned into my brain. I won’t forgive myself for not trusting my gut, it told me not to leave you, but I just thought I was just being overprotective.

Tomorrow we are leaving for Colorado, your favorite place! We even made special arrangements for you to come with us and be allowed in the Airbnb. There wouldn’t have been any 9 mile hikes this trip for you to enjoy, but I did joke about putting you in your wrap to ski downhill with me. 😂 I know how much you love road trips and sitting on your throne during the car rides, we will take so many trips after you come home. You better believe I won’t be leaving you again, mister! You ruined our cruise by running off.... I’m hoping more than anything that you ruin Colorado by finding your way home. I wish more than anything that I have to fly from Colorado to STL to pick you up. I’ll never stop looking bubba.

If someone has you, use all your puppy powers to get them to do the right thing, we don’t care who has you, what their reasons are or how much money they may want, we just want you home. If you are still somehow out in the woods, show your face, little guy! Find a human to get you home to me. I fought for you when you were a lifeless 8 week old potato and now I’ll fight harder for my 4 year old squirrel. ❤️

Hey everyone! Ellie here again. This weekend I have spent a bunch of time getting together a list of about 40-50 groomers in the STL area and sending them info about Gomez and to look out for a new client that looks like him. He is definitely a pup that needs grooming. Tons have replied and assured me that they will keep and eye out. If you are looking for a way to help , please share Gomez’s flyer with your groomer, if you have one! I’ve also made sure to let them know that he has a long wispy tail and tiny detached dew claws on his front legs. As always, much love. ❤️❤️
