What a beautiful way to close out an incredible founding year at Friendly Academy ๐โจ
We had the honor of surprising our Founder, Dr. Tesha Robinson, with gifts that represented love, legacy, and the impact of her vision.
To commemorate a successful founding year, we presented her with a custom Friendly Academy Letterman Jacket and the surprise became even more special because every staff member, along with her husband and daughter, also received one. A symbol of unity. A symbol of family. A symbol that we are all part of something bigger than ourselves. ๐
We also had the privilege of presenting Dr. Robinson with a special recognition from the Missouri House of Representatives presented by State Representative Kimberly-Ann Collins in honor of her leadership, dedication, and commitment to changing lives through education and love.
This founding year has been filled with growth, vision, sacrifice, intentionality, and purpose. This was our opportunity to pour back into the woman who pours so much into all of us.
Dr. Robinson, thank you for seeing not only our abilities, but the people behind them. Thank you for creating a culture rooted in love, excellence, and belonging. And thank you for daring to build something transformational for our students, families, and community.
Year One is completeโฆ and this is only the beginning. ๐ซ

Everybody meet Ms. Nickens our ONE and ONLY 1st grade teacher
Ms.Nickens taught 3rd grade for 1 year and 1st grade + 4 years, along with coaching dance, cheer, and step. She is still loving every moment of helping her scholars grow. She believes watching her students build confidence, learn new skills, and shine in their own way is the best part of it all ๐๐๐

Everybody meet Friendly Academyโs most supportive teacher Ms. Patton ๐ฅณ
Ms. Patton is one of our kindergarten teachers. She has six years of experience teaching kindergarten and over 10 years of experience working with students from preschool and Head Start through elementary school teaching a range of different subjects. Ms. Patton is also dance coach, which she says has been a rewarding way to connect with children beyond the classroom.
โWorking with kids is something Iโve always loved. I teach because I want to be the kind of support I didnโt always have growing up someone who encourages, uplifts, and advocates for every child. I also enjoy teaching because I get to hear my name 100 times a day.โ -Ms. Patton
