Since I’ve gotten into the race, Steve Ehlmann has started to agree with me a lot.
Here’s the problem: Sleepy Steve has been in office for 20 years, and he still hasn’t done ANYTHING. In fact, he’s the problem. He’s put the county into so many money pits that cutting taxes seems like a long lost dream and he has paved the way for mega apartment complexes taking over St. Charles County.
St. Charles County, if you want to lead the state again, I’m asking for your vote. If young families want to afford a single family home again, I’m asking for your vote. 🗳️

STEVE EHLMANN’S ROUTE N URBANIZATION PROJECT RAISES POSSIBILTY OF EMINENT DOMAIN SEIZURES IN LAKE ST LOUIS
Families along Route N are now speaking out against the so-called "Great Places" project after learning their land has been targeted for redevelopment — and many say they have NO intention of selling.
Good.
Because government should not be in the business of pressuring families off their land to make way for apartment complexes and urbanization schemes.
When private landowners say NO to selling their land to the government, there is only one way for government development plans to move forward anyway: EMINENT DOMAIN seizures.
Let me be clear:
I am 100% opposed to St. Charles County using eminent domain — or threatening eminent domain — to take private property for apartment development along Route N or anywhere else in our county.
The Route N "Great Places" project did not appear out of thin air.
It was initiated by St. Charles County working alongside East-West Gateway — where Steve Ehlmann serves as St. Charles County’s representative on the executive board.
If landowners are saying they do not want to sell, then this project should be cancelled.
That is why I am calling on Steve Ehlmann to immediately shut down the Route N Great Places project and support a countywide moratorium on the use of eminent domain for redevelopment projects like this.
Private property rights matter.
Your land is not government inventory.
And St. Charles County should never become a place where bureaucrats and planners decide who stays and who goes.
Do you support Steve Ehlmann’s urbanization plans along Highway N?
Once again, thank you to Tricia Byrnes for State Senate who broke this story this week while attending a presentation from the out-of-state developer Steve Ehlmann brought in to push this project
