This week in the St. Louis geospatial ecosystem 👇
🦖 Geosaurus Unleashed @ T-REX — Feb 11
A local GIS + geospatial meetup bringing practitioners together for connection, conversation, and community.
🏛️ Federal geospatial moment
This week also coincides with the Esri Federal GIS Conference (FedGIS) — a key national convening focused on how geospatial technology supports federal missions, policy, and public-sector impact. It’s a timely reminder of St. Louis’s deep ties to federal geospatial work and talent.
đź‘€ On deck: Denver next week
Many in the ecosystem are also looking ahead to Geo Week in Denver next week — one of the largest gatherings for geospatial, mapping, and the built world.
Local roots. National relevance. Global impact.

St. Louis, this is day one.
Yesterday afternoon, we convened our first coalition meeting as GeoSTL, and officially introduced GeoSTL as a new organization — evolving out of the Greater St. Louis, Inc. GeoFuturesSTL Initiative to carry this important work forward.
The coalition, built over years of collaboration, came together to continue the work of strengthening the region’s geospatial ecosystem. The conversation was focused, collaborative, and full of momentum.
GeoSTL exists to strengthen the St. Louis geospatial ecosystem by connecting talent, accelerating innovation, supporting business growth, and growing economic opportunity across the region.
This work is rooted in place. In St. Louis. With St. Louis. For St. Louis.
We’re excited to get to work, and grateful to be building what comes next together.
