Thank you to everyone who came to our 90th Anniversary Marshal Ball and Miss Polonia Scholarship Pageant this past Saturday. This was truly a night to remember, both by our large turn out as well as the distinguished guests who came by, including: the Grand Marshal of the Pulaski Parade Iwona Korga along with members of the General Pulaski Memorial Parade Committee, Council Member Frank Morano, Miss City of New York Felicia Gambino, Vice Consul Anna Wanczyk, and Robert and Linda Ollis. We honored some of our longtime sponsors and community collaborators, including Fr. Jacek Woźny of St, Stanislaus Kostka Church, Paweł Gruchacz of Local 78, the Staten Island branch of the Polish and Slavic Federal Credit Union, Thomas Kowalski of Allstate, along with members including Ewa Morris, Larry Boliak, and Jennifer Costa.

We are honored to have Monika Tutka represent Staten Island at the Pulaski Day Parade as our 2026 Marshal. We are also proud to announce that after undergoing an interview prior to the event with a panel of independent judges, Vivienne Wozniak was chosen as the 2026 Miss Polonia. We are also thrilled to have Bianca Grudzinski as our 2026 Junior Miss Polonia. We look forward to having all of these lovely ladies, along with our fantastic Miss Polonia runner ups, join us at future events and on October 4th at the Pulaski Day Parade.

16 years ago on April 10, 2010, a plane carrying Polish officials to the commemorative 70th Anniversary ceremony remembering the murdered Polish officers in the Katyn Forest crashed near Smolensk airport. All 96 people on board, including the President of the Republic of Poland Prof. L**h Kaczyński and First Lady Maria Kaczyńska sadly lost their lives.
