What is the meaning of Thanksgiving to you personally?

What I really remember about Thanksgiving growing up was the cooking and preparations leading up to the day. Trips to the grocery store and getting a few of my favorite snacks. The smell of good food cooking 🤤
I mean, there were pies and cakes being made, chicken being fried, Turkey on the grill, adult beverages being served. There was a lot of laughter and joking 😊.
But most of all was the anticipation of who was coming into town for the holidays? What cousins and family and friends would you get to hang out with for a few days? Just hanging out having good fun. Is there such a thing anymore? 🤔

Well the meaning has changed, but the excitement remains the same.
