With the right team, anything is possible.

Being something I have always dreamt of doing, live music has long been a love of mine. Whether it be the experience outdoors at a music festival, or the rare recordings of Neil Young’s lost studio sessions, I so often get lost in music.

A few years ago, I began visiting a small Open Mic Night that takes place in Summerville, SC. The place is called, Coastal Coffee Roasters, and every Thursday night some of the most talented locals came out to play. This was so inspiring to me. The confidence to get up and sing in front of over 50 patrons, listening intently. I had to have it. So, I began writing words into songs and began to come up with my own territory musically. My own sound.

This wasn’t my first time playing music for others, but this would be my first attempt doing it solo. To my delight, this particular open mic night was amongst friendly, ,listening people who would quickly become friends. Among these friends, I would begin to meet the people I knew needed to be a part of my music. I met vocalists of several sorts, guitarists, slide players, fiddle players, and also began to become friends with Joshua Jarman, host, engineer and MC of the event.

This community showed so much respect and patience while I was writing, sharing and becoming more comfortable with my music. In 2018, I was even able to release my first EP of original music recorded at Hybrid Audio Solutions in West Ashley, SC. The small community in Summerville helped make even my CD release party a huge success. There, I shared a limited 100 copies of that album, signed and numbered, to the community that helped motivate me to live out this dream.
