Tips for winter:

For your safety, please remember to keep the dryer and furnace vents clear of any snow (they carry CO out of the house, as well as fumes left over from the combustion of the natural gas).

Also, remember to close and drain the water spigots. You'll likely find a valve inside the house. If you can't close it, or you don't have a valve inside, insulating spigot covers are sold in your hardware store. They're inexpensive and can prevent pipes bursting (which can mean costly repairs).
