It was a great event today at the Mandir. Kids had fun making Shiva Linga. So proud of our kids doing Bhajan and Shiva Stothram. Kids were so enthusiastic and they set a great example 🙏.

Diwali evokes the emotion of love, happiness and bountiful giving.

SewaDiwali (https://www.facebook.com/SewaDiwali drive to combat food inequality.) is an initiative by Dharmic communities, individuals and organizations like Yoga, Spiritual, Hindu/Buddhist/Sikh/Jain centers, Temples, Gurudwaras, Linguistic and Indian socio-cultural organizations who believe in the Sewa Dharma, i.e. Service to Humanity is Service to Divinity.

The goal is to foster togetherness and Sewa (selfless giving) for the welfare of society, by promoting the festive and enlightening spirit of Diwali and to create a shared values platform of Dharmic/Indic communities and individuals to organize food collection and other donation drives around the festival of Diwali

Middleton Wisconsin Sewa Diwali group collected 804lbs of food and donated to local MOM - Middleton Outreach Ministry. momhelps.org

More than 10 Dharmic organizations in Sun prairie WI area came together to celebrate SewaDiwali. ( Mandir of Madison , WITA , Bengali Association of America , Sewa International USA - Madison . H.S.S. HSS Madison Shakha etc.) They collectively donated 1300lbs food to Sunprairie Emergency Food pantry.

Hindu Swayamsevak Sangh USA

Swayamsevak bala from shakha did a presentation for Diwali for his entire 3rd grade friends, it was given in a big conference room in his school.

It was amazing how many questions Omkar got and the kids curiosity
