Well... we certainly NEVER expected our post to reach the number of people it did.

What followed was a beautiful outpouring of support, mixed with some criticism, some bullying, and even a couple of death threats. But what resonated most with us was how many people have been where we were. 🫂

You don't have to agree with our decision, and that's okay. We didn't share Mochi's story looking for approval. We shared it for transparency, understanding, and because these are the conversations that often don't get talked about.
Did we do everything perfectly? Naw. But that's exactly why we talk about it. We learn. We grow. We listen. And that's okay.

The rescue world isn't black and white. Sometimes the decisions are heartbreaking. Sometimes there are no good options, only the safest ones available.

Our mission remains the same: to save as many animals as we can, as safely and responsibly as possible, and to find them the very best homes.
That mission didn't stop with Mochi.

If anything, her story has propelled us forward—more determined than ever to keep helping the animals that need us most. ❤️🐾
