Yup, still in total vacation mode. Must be because of my afternoon pool spa sessions with my niece, Hannah, who sang Moana songs and massaged my hands and feet. Could vacation be any better?! So much sweetness with family πŸ₯°β€οΈ

Treated wmyself to lunch at my happy place today! πŸ€—It's been a very busy week (in the best way! Lots of teaching and run coaching) and even though I could've went home after my yoga class and "got more done" before school pickups, I gave myself this gift. There will always be so much to get done. Gave myself permission to pause it all and give myself what I needed- sunshine and the ocean. πŸ₯°
Hope this post also gives you permission to do the same ❀️

The process is progress! This was the running affirmation card I pulled before my long run this morning. It was the perfect reminder to let go of chasing the "perfect run" and to just do "the run"! This relaxed my body, mind, and breath from the start which set me up for feeling strong, steady, and in control. Loved the sunshine, smells of the ocean, hearing the birds chirp...it was magic. Just a really great run. So grateful I put the mental work in beforehand. Because of it, I was really able to really soak this run in and truly enjoy it! πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘
And, this was the longest I've ran since I think April 2022 πŸ€”. Lots to be proud of today! πŸŽ‰

I pulled this running affirmation card before my run today and it couldn't have been more perfect. These words and guidance gave me permission to "just be", enjoy the miles, and connect with why I love this practice of running so much. Every time I felt forcing of "I should be" be running faster or "my body should feel this way with each stride", I repeated the mantra, Create SPACE! These words reminded me to connect to my form/body, to let my breath deepen, let my shoulders drop, to shift my gaze to beautiful sights around me, and to keep pressing each foot down into the earth to receive support and energy. This is where the magic is; connecting with the joy of the process and meeting you where YOU are in that momentπŸ₯°
