Me: “I think the garden is finally full.”
Also me every time a Fast Growing Trees box shows up: 👀
This haul includes:
💙 Endless Summer hydrangeas
🌸 Wisteria
🫐 Mojoberry mulberry trees
…because apparently I believe my yard has unlimited space (lol).
No regrets. 🌱✨🤭
Totally forgot to post this in my drafts BUT now that we’re a few days into July… looking back at my garden this time LAST year vs THIS year is insane!!!
I’m blown away by how much everything has grown. In Washington state zone 8b we have had some of the best weather for growing conditions - not too rainy, not too hot and the garden is LOVING it. I also have been much better with my fertiiizing routine and used quality local soil and think that’s made a huge difference.
Last year I also didn’t follow the best seed starting schedule (aka non existent) and this year I created a schedule so things would bloom much much earlier. Plus a few that I direct sowed later on so I could have continuous growth and blooms.
As a third year gardener, I am still learning SO much - a ton from fellow gardeners on this platform and I couldn’t be more grateful for the knowledge shared amongst this community.
I and since recording this it’s already grown SO much more. I can’t wait to see where the garden is in another few weeks! ✨🌼🥹
Actually we’re calling this my “Sweet Sixteen” x2 and yes another s’mores birthday cake was created for this year’s festivities 🎂🤭🥂

episode 2 | a little garden getaway 🥂
Every garden deserves a little corner that makes you want to linger.
This week of The Whimsy Project was all about creating a space that feels equal parts elegant, cozy, and just a little bit movie magic. Somewhere to sip a glass of wine or sparkling lemonade after watering the garden, read a chapter (or four) of a good book, or pretend you’re spending the summer at a Napa vineyard.
Because sometimes adding whimsy isn’t about buying more plants… it’s about creating a reason to slow down and actually enjoy them.
Now excuse me while I dramatically sip wine and pretend I’m in The Parent Trap.
What little corner of your home feels like an escape?
