We record bears 🐻 from a safe distance with a zoom or from my car and zoomed, we do not try to confront the bears, I actually saw someone trying to chase off a bear and the bear charged him, bears that do that end up euthanized. I grew up watching national geographic and they just photographed or recorded what they saw without interference. Whoever dumped restaurant grease, did not lock the lid and bears are highly attracted to grease. Just a car honking would not have scared this bear, you can see in this video how much noise and flashing lights it took by a police car to scare away this bear from the grease dumpster and then a quick car chase by police to get the bear 🐻 running completely away. Please do not feed the bears and let police chase them because if a bear gets aggressive with you trying to chase him, they will likely euthanize that bear. And bears do get aggressive over food. The police are trained and trying to get the bears safely back to the woods foraging for food. (This is how my mind processes these things with bears, logically for me without interference as someone on the autism level one spectrum, because I’ve learned how many bears have been euthanized this year because people interfered and fed them and in some cases tried to closely approach them.)
