Type 1 diabetes is now predictable. Blood tests are available to identify it long before it starts. How many of you have taken advantage of this?

Today, John Robert Navar and his wife Cheryl (from Corpus Christi) generously donated 50 T1D Barbies for the kids in our practice here at McLane Children’s Hospital. They have distributed 2,000 dolls so far to 17 states. They are currently on their way to Dallas to share more of them with Peds Endo groups there and in Fort Worth.
John and Cheryl would like to meet with senior executives at Mattel in California to discuss larger donations and even expanding the T1D doll universe.
