The boys’ bats were on fire all day! Cardiac kids won both games in dramatic fashion beating a good Jets Elite and USA Prime teams to win the championship. Two walk off wins, 13-12 and 19-18.

Dom Lazur and Evan Wines both had walk off base hits in the bottom of the 6th to win the semis and championship.

The Stars amassed 29 hits and scored 32 runs in two games on their way to being crowned champions.

Stars played well and won both of their pool play games today. Winning the first game 5-3 against a very good Michigan Monarchs team behind an amazing pitching performance from Brooks DeMary and Easton Wright. The pair combined for 6ip 2 hits 0er 5 walks and 10 K’s. Easton was the only Star with multiple hits and Evan Carter and Garrett each had an rbi.

Easton and Lincoln shared Star of the Game honors!

In game 2, the Stars jumped out to a big lead early and hung on for a 15-12. The Stars scored 2 in the first, 10 in the 2nd, 1 in the 3rd, and 2 in the 5th. 11 stars had a hit and the Stars combined for 16 hits lead by Dom 3 hits, Lincoln Cam and Benny 2 hits a piece, and a big fly for Evan Wines.

Evan Wines and Dom Lazur shared the Star of the game.

Stars will wait on seeding for tomorrow’s single elimination bracket!

Bats were on fire as the Stars scored 13 runs on 16 hits. 9 Stars had at least one hit, 6 Stars had multiple hits, 7 Stars had at least 1 rbi and 4 Stars had multiple RBIs.

Easton Wright was Star of the Game as he went 3-3 with a HR and 2 singles. Benny Lewandowski pitched two scoreless innings giving up no hits 1 walk and 1 strikeout along with his 4rbi day.

Stars have the weekend off and are back in action Monday the 22nd at CYO fields 6pm against USA Prime.

Stars finish the day 1-1. Stars struggled to get off the bus and throw strikes and make plays in game 1 when they lost to a very good Jet Box team 16-8. Stars rebounded in game 2 facing a 3 run deficit Jack Stechschulte lead off the top of the 4th with a single to right center, his fellow Stars would follow by batting around with 6 hits and 3 walks leading to an 8 run inning. Warriors would add two in the bottom half making it 8-5 but the Stars would stretch the lead after a Stanley Swonger walk, back to back doubles from Benny Lewandowski and Easton Wright and a single from Carter Owens would tally 4 runs for the Stars.

Jack Stechschulte was the Star of the Game, his lead off single started the big inning!

Stars back in action tomorrow at 9:45am, win and play for the title at 11:30am.

Stars win a great game out at Scott Park 8-6!
A pitcher’s duel started the game as both starting pitchers were on their A game. Easton Wright started on the bump for the stars and struck out 7 before reaching his pitch count in the third, giving way to Jack Stechschulte who struck out 4. Monsters struck first and building a 5 run lead before the Stars answer in the top of the 4th. Dom Lazur started the rally where the Stars sent 9 men to the plate and scored 5 of their own.

The stars would take the lead in the 5th when Lincoln Hull singled, then scored on a single from Lazur where he just never stopped running and scored on a loose ball down the first base line. The monsters fought back and tied the game in the 6th and were threatening before Stechschulte stranded the go ahead run at third with his 4th strikeout.

Top of the 6th Benny Lewandowski singled with 1 out and advanced to third on a passed ball, before Camden Garcia roped a line drive single into right center to take the lead 7-6, Carter Owens would tack on an insurance run with his single to score Garcia.

8-6 Stars and Owens came in to close the game out and seal the victory for the Stars.

iStars accumulated 13 hits, Benny Lewandowski, Camden Garcia, Dom Lazur all had multiple hits.

His clutch 2 out single in the top of the 6th earned Camden Garcia “Star of the Game”.
