Snowmobiling Michigan’s lower peninsula is one of my favorites.

I’ve been riding the northwestern region of the state for over 30 years and it never leaves me disappointed, except for when it’s time to go home.

Everyone raves about the UP. Yeah, it’s great and I love it too, but the lower feels like home. It’s a forgotten treasure.

It’s where I learned to ride and spent countless weekends with my dad, family and friends. It’s where we race and where I have introduced the sport I love to my wife and kids. Where I’ve found so many new friends and a “racing family”.

I know the trail systems like a familiar song. Each spot along the way holding a memory of the past, bringing a smile and a warm feeling in my soul.

I love snowmobiling, and I love Michigan’s lower peninsula for the impact it’s had on my life. You go ahead and drive the extra hours to the Yoop, I’ll spend that time in the lower, where my heart feels full.
