KNEA members and leaders representing Kansas at the National Education Association (NEA) RA in Denver, Colorado, had the opportunity to attend the Human and Civil Rights Awards Dinner on July 3.

This year's event, "From Merger to Movement: A 60 Year Legacy of Keeping Hope Alive," was the 59th annual HCR Awards Dinner. These events honor human and civil rights leaders and are steeped in history. The tradition began with the American Teachers Association, and NEA continues it today.

KNEA Delegates also spotted this gigantic sign recognizing Kansas' achievement of a 158% increase in Education Support Professional (ESP) membership. Thank you to ALL KNEA members, UniServs, locals and staff for your help in making this happen. Together, we are stronger. Together, we win!
