Jesus Says

“Hear, O Israel! The Lord our God is Lord alone! You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength. The second is this: You shall love your neighbor as yourself. There is no other commandments greater than these.”

“God so loved the world that He gave His only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him might not perish but might have eternal life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world might be saved through Him. Whoever believes in Him will not be condemned, but whoever does not believe has already been condemned, because he has not believed in the Name of the only Son of God.”

Jesus said to them, “I shall ask you one question. Answer Me, and I will tell you by what authority I do these things. Was John’s baptism of heavenly or of human origin? Answer Me.” They discussed this among themselves and said, “If we say, ‘Of heavenly origin,’ he will say, ‘Then why did you not believe him?’

He said to them, “But who do you say that I am?” Simon Peter said in reply, “You are the Christ, the son of the Living God.” Jesus said to him in reply, “Blessed are you, Simon son of Jonah. For flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but My heavenly Father.”

“Take courage; get up, Jesus is calling you.” He threw aside his cloak sprang up, and came to Jesus. Jesus said to him in reply, “What do you want Me to do for you?” The blind man replied to him, “Master, I want to see.” Jesus told him, “Go your way; your faith has saved you.” Immediately he received his sight and followed Him on the way.

“Teacher, we want you to do for us whatever we ask of you.” He replied, “What do you wish Me to do for you?” They answered Him, “Grant in Your glory we may sit one at your right and the other at your left.” Jesus said to them, “You do not know what you are asking. Can you drink the chalice that I drink or be baptized with the baptism with which I am baptized?”
