🥳 Congratulations to Abriona Markham, Executive Director of the Topeka Doula Project, on being named a 2026 YWCA Northeast Kansas Women of Excellence honoree! This recognition celebrates women whose leadership and service strengthen our communities, and it is so well deserved.
The magnitude of Abriona's work is difficult to capture in a Facebook caption. Through her leadership, advocacy, and unwavering commitment to mothers, babies, and families, she has created ripples of education and care that extend far beyond any one birth or one family. She has helped build a community where people are seen, supported, and empowered.
May those ripples continue to grow—touching generations to come.
Congratulations, Abriona. Thank you for leading with courage, compassion, and love.

Hey Community! 👋
We’ve been a bit quiet lately, but that's because we’ve been working diligently behind the scenes on our upcoming location move and new programming!
Recently, we took a look at our numbers for the rest of the year and noticed something huge: there are far more families interested in doula services than there are doulas available. This isn't just true for us, it’s affecting everyone who serves the Topeka area.
Because the demand is so high, we think it’s the perfect time to launch our Doula Scholarship and get some fresh, passionate faces into the field!
Stay tuned for the official scholarship announcement. We can’t wait to help grow the doula community right here in Topeka! 🥳🌻
