Today is Take Action for Libraries Day—a call for all of us to advocate for and invest in the future of these vital community spaces.

Libraries change lives every day, and now is the time to speak up in support of that impact. We encourage you to contact your Baltimore County Council member and voice your support for the proposed $58 million bond funding to create a new Essex Branch, recently announced by County Executive Kathy Klausmeyer in her annual budget message. This investment will help create a modern, welcoming space that expands access to resources, programs and opportunity for the Essex community.
