A new prop for the Christmas light show this year. Just got done pushing in the lights. The plan for these are to put them in the middle of the arches.

At the Florida MegaMini I ended up winning the raffle for the Light-O-Rama Aurora Core Smart Pixel Controller Board. I just put the assembly together that I got from LOR. It’s alive! Pretty excited about this as just this one controller may be able to run my entire show. Its capabilities seem a bit intimidating but I’m excited to learn what it can do. You are looking at a controller that is just one component of things necessary to synchronize lights with music.

Every year there is a light show event here in Florida called the Florida MegaMini. I attended last year and last week I attended it again. It is an event that you don’t want to miss out on if you’re interested in putting together your own light show or already have one going. Here are some photos I took from the event.

Working on the Halloween light show continues. Pushing the lights (pixels) into the tombstones. There will be (4) in the show.

The Christmas light show ran on (2) pre-built controller boxes. I decided to tackle on the project of building my own and here is the finish product. A little behind the scenes of one of the things that run a show.

Too soon? With this type of light show it’s not just plug and play (if only if were that easy). It takes months of preparation and a lot of time. Plans for a Halloween light show has begun. Stay tune for progress and updates 🎃
