I was super surprised when I glanced out the window and noticed Rex going to town on a pile of manure.

This is very atypical behavior for him, and not something I have seen him do before 👀

There are a ton of reasons why horse might eat manure…

Do you have any guesses to what might be going on here?

For reference:
👉🏼 Rex is in 24/7 turnout (about 2 acres) with 2 herd mates.
👉🏼 He has access to grass hay 24/7 both in nets and loose.
👉🏼 He has a comprehensive diet that includes free feed hay, balancer, salt, and a few other supplements.

Any ideas why he might be eating p**p? 💩
