The Clean Curl

It’s been about 4 years since I’ve been active on my blog and 2 years since this big chop. This blog came up in conversation recently and it made me miss everyone! Wanted to say 👋🏼!

I did a thing. My last hair cut was over a year and a half ago. My hair had grown long, half way down my back without stretching the curls. But, it was starting to look stringy. My fine hair isn’t its best when it is long no matter how much I fight it with diffusing and products. I accept that when my hair is long my curls are more waves and my hair is more up than down. Finally, I gave in. I rewatched ‘s YouTube video on cutting your own hair and just did it. I am 3 months postpartum and that postpartum hair loss is real. It’s just starting for me. After it’s done, after about 5-6 months I’ll get a professional cut to shape it up but I already feel better. My hair is back to its bouncy, shiny self despite the loss. I will share a picture soon when I finally take one 😆. I didn’t do anything fancy, just cut off the ends straight. Now I am ready to continue on the battle!

I have not purposely been on a no buy but my spending on beauty products have been really minimally the last few months as I’m trying to get through my stash. just shared amazing discovery kits and seeing as Danielle from had a featured kit AND it was .care I had to get it. I have been wanting to try them for some time so this was perfect. I’ve only dove into Unveil so far but my skin just swooned as I washed it off. I hit a wall with cleansers lately but this 😍😍😍😍. I can’t wait to try The Bean! What other Mahalo products do you just love? I’m excited to try out more! #
