🚨 SCAM ALERT – Please Read & Share 🚨

I want to bring awareness to a scam attempt that I personally experienced — and after doing some research, I found that several others have gone through the exact same situation.

A person using the name Katherine Ronald” (email: [[email protected]]reached out claiming they needed branding consulting services. The message was well-written and initially seemed legitimate.

Here’s what happened next:

• We scheduled a call, and I sent my official meeting link
• They repeatedly claimed my link “wasn’t working”
• I waited **over an hour** while they kept responding with excuses
• I suggested they send their own link — and that’s when things became clear

They sent a fake meeting link (Google Meet / Zoom-style mockup), which upon inspection was tied to a known **phishing scam domain

🚩 Additional red flags:

* Invalid or unreachable phone number
* Constant deflection when asked to use legitimate platforms
* Pressure to click *their* link instead of using verified ones

After digging deeper, I found*BBB reports describing the exact same tactic — including fake Zoom links like zoominvitt.im/zoom.us used to steal information.

⚠️ Please be careful:

* Always hover over links before clicking
* Stick to your own verified meeting platforms
* Be cautious of anyone insisting their link is the only option
* Verify phone numbers and email domains

This is a reminder that even **well-written inquiries can be scams.**

If you’re a business owner, freelancer, or agency — stay alert. These scams are getting more sophisticated.
