Moving Forward Safe Place

After closing on April 28, we have been moving out and cleaning up for the next tenant in this space. The Resale Shop closed last week and donated all the leftover inventory to Family and Children's Thrift Store.

Closing a non-profit in the State of Oklahoma is a highly regulated process that involves the office of Attorney General to make sure funds remain in the non-profit world. After our inventory donation, the board will return any leftover funds to our parent organization, Carbondale Church of Christ.

By the end of June, this page and the Resale Shop page will be deleted. I will share contact information with you before that time for those wishing to remain in touch.

We had the privilege this week of helping one of our own into a detox to remove the substances that are draining life out of our friend. Constant contact, friendly encouragement and a willingness to sit together as calls are made and plans are firmed up helped them move forward again. Yesterday the curve ball of questions about insurance benefits was solved in our office and adjustments were made in the plan. We don't just listen, we will walk with you toward the goal and celebrate when you arrive!

We proudly announce the addition of Peer Support as a free service available at Moving Forward Safe Place. Those who have visited us will know this person's expertise and caring spirit. Having extensive experience of her own, Stephanie is able and willing to walk with you toward a better Well Being. Contact the Moving Forward office, 10am - 4:30pm Monday-Friday.
