Scott taking off for the first heat race in "Predator"!!!
It is early Monday morning and the busy weekend getting two jets ready to race is over. I have two crew members here now, Crew Chief Toby Nicholes (Obi Wan) and David Nicholes(C3). They had quite the task! But as always with my ..GREAT CREW.. They GOT R DONE!!!!!! and both jets came through compliance inspection flawlessly!!!!! Thank you gentlemen!!!!
Sunday... I call "Brief Day". Briefings...briefings....and yes...more briefings!!!!! Simply said... You don't make the briefings... You don't fly!!!! Toby had his crew chief briefings as well. It is all part of getting into "Race Mode" focusing on the task at hand and the importance of ALL aspects of what it takes to do this as SAFE and PROFESSIONAL as possible.
We are ready!!!!!
Then came 4:15pm. Our first practice session on the course.
I flew Jet Race 3 getting her on the course with me in her seat for the first time. My flight chose to do an actual join up and race with the pace jet a beautiful Phenom 300. Pole Dancer is a thourobred on the race course. Very light...Very fast!!! I held her rains back on the first go...but Tuesday qualifying I will let her loose!!! I will qualify Jet Race 17 today and it will be great to be back on the course with the Predator again!!!! I will post a couple pics shortly!!! The weather has been great as you will see.
