UnLuvable

After racing The Circuit I decided to pull the valve covers off to have a look at the valve train components. I noticed 5 broken snap rings on the rocker arm trunnion bearings. I pulled the rocker arms out and nearly every bearing showed significant wear. This engine has only been in UnLuvd for a year now. This engine was someone else’s project that never got assembled, but they had already bought all the parts to assemble. Some of these parts were no-name brand likely from China. I replaced the trunnion bearings with much higher quality Brian Tooley Racing parts. I have used this same kit from BTR in my other engine that has nearly 20k drag and drive miles on them without a single issue. I’m glad we caught this before Big Sky Race Week.
