Janis Joplin is the kind of dog who just wants to play all day, all over the house.

Janis is settling into her new foster home in Missouri, and she's the kind of dog who makes herself right at home. She made it through her first night without a fuss and woke up ready to be part of the family

She's sweet, she's affectionate, and she's easy company. She's hung out with other dogs of all sizes, a whole crew of cats, and kids of every age. She was wonderful with a baby in her first foster home, and she's been just as sweet with the six year old in her current one, and done just fine with all of it. New house, new animals, new people- she's just happy to be here.

Like a lot of young dogs, she's still working out a few boundaries, so she'll do best with someone up for a little patience and training as she grows into herself. But that's the small part. The big part is that she's a smart, sweet, and gorgeous coonhound puppy who is ready to move from foster to forever.

Maybell is a 2 year old Bluetick Coonhound who was picked up as a stray- everything we know about her, we're learning fresh, right alongside you.

She seems to be familiar with "sit" and already has a handle on the housebreaking basics- not bad for a girl with no known history.

She's good with strangers, but takes a little time to warm up to new dogs, so a patient introduction goes a long way with her. Cats are a hard pass- she'll give one a sniff, then back off and let the whole neighborhood know about it.

Maybell is otherwise quiet, a little shy at first, and figuring out the world one new experience at a time. She'd do best in an active home with a yard, no cats, and people willing to let her come out of her shell on her own schedule.
