The best year. The best teachers, staff and administrators. I could not ask for more!

Since I first met Sydney in 8th grade I was so in awe of what a ray of sunshine she was, and what a kind soul she had. As I came to know her throughout my freshman year, I saw what an amazing leader she was and the way that she was always uplifting those around her, especially in the band. I wanted so badly to be like her, and I can truly say I have made a conscious effort to carry her optimism and positivity with me ever since.
Because of her, I always dreamed of being a drum major, because she had shown me that it was a position that provided a platform to uplift others and make the band not just excellent musically, but also bring everyone closer together and make every single band member feel valued. I honestly never believed it would happen at the time because of my unique band story, but with help and inspiration from so many people, including this year’s drum majors and my dear friends Brooklyn and Rylee, I am so proud to say that I will be following in Sydney’s footsteps as Drum Major for the 2026 marching season.
I can’t wait to embark on this journey with Alexis, and I can’t wait for you all to see the show! 🎪 🇺🇸
