The City of Edna, Texas kicked off the new year with the launch of a grant-funded project totaling $2.1 million!

The City was awarded funding through the Texas General Land Office to support flood and drainage improvements throughout the community, and is also partnering with Jackson County on a new communications tower project.

Ribbon Cutting Celebration – City of Buffalo, Texas

Today, the City of Buffalo celebrated the ribbon cutting for its Wastewater Treatment Plant Reconstruction Project, made possible through the Texas General Land Office CDBG-MIT Program.

This $9,628,000 investment in CDBG grant funds upgraded and expand critical wastewater infrastructure, improved system reliability, capacity, and long-term resiliency for the community. The project improvements include major upgrades to treatment processing, electrical systems, and overall plant operations.

A big thank you to the Texas General Land Office, Commissioner Dawn Buckingham, city/county officials & city staff, project partners, and everyoe who helped make this milestone possible for Buffalo’s future!
